Habitat Selection, Incubation, and Incubation Recess Ranges of Nesting Female Rio Grande Wild Turkeys in Texas

We used GPS data to describe behaviors of nesting Rio Grande wild turkeys in Texas.  We found that incubating hens spent most of their time in an area of less than 5 acres.  We also found that hens used areas within their incubation ranges where vegetation was more diverse, offering managers a glimpse into ways of improving habitat quality for nesting hens.
