We studied effects of hunting intensity on movements of males. Male movements averaged over 3000 yards a day, but varied a lot amongst males. Males decreased their movements in response to hunting intensity, but only slightly and not enough to be biologically relevant. Our findings suggest that males are variable in how much they move in response to hunting, and what causes this is unclear.
