Impact of Supplemental Feeding for Northern Bobwhite on Movement Ecology of Eastern Wild Turkeys in South Carolina

We looked at whether supplemental feeding for quail influenced turkey movements.  We found that turkeys who used areas where feeding occurred maintained larger home ranges, but there was considerable variation amongst individual birds as to how they responded to the presence of supplemental feed.  Our findings suggest that responses of wild turkeys to supplemental feeding varies considerably from one bird to the next.
