We evaluated whether infection with lymphoproliferative disease virus (LPDV) influenced reproductive success or hen behaviors. We found that hens infected with the virus moved 16% more during the laying period, which equated to more than 300 meters increase per day. However, we failed to detect any relevant relationships between infection with LPDV and rates of nest initiation, nest success, or hen survival. Our findings suggest that LPDV appears to have no influence on the demographic rates we measured.
