We used GPS telemetry and trail cameras to document instances of nest parasitism, which is when one hen lays eggs in the nest of another hen. We found that at least 6% of nests could be parasitized by other hens, and that some nests may be parasitized by several hens. We suspect that occurrences of nest parasitism could be linked to predator abundance and activity, which warrants additional research.
