Redirecting Research for Wild Turkeys Using GPS Transmitters

We discussed the recent developments of global positioning system (GPS) technology to track wild turkeys, and how such developments offered researchers abilities to redefine our understanding of wild turkey ecology and behavior.  We provided examples of GPS data collected on wild turkeys, and discussed our thoughts on the future of wild turkey research using GPS data.  This paper was essentially the one that launched the dozens of subsequent papers we’ve written using GPS data to describe wild turkey behavior.
